Future Breckland - Draft Town Delivery Plans published for Swaffham and Watton

07 February 2022

We Made That and Hatch have been appointed by Breckland Council to develop action-oriented Town Delivery Plans for Attleborough, Dereham, Swaffham, Thetford and Watton. These plans will involve an assessment of the latest available data and will be based on extensive local engagement. The plans will include new and refreshed project proposals to support economic, social and environmental development in each town. The draft Delivery Plans for Dereham, Swaffham and Watton have been published online.

This work should put Breckland in pole-position to leverage new external funding, whilst also using our shared resources better to deliver transformational change across the district.

“By creating a shared vision, local organisations can align their priorities and ensure we are all pulling towards the same goal. This will ensure Breckland’s success going forward and put as in pole position when it comes to bidding for national funding, which can be spent making the district even better for our residents and businesses.”
Cllr Sam Chapman-Allen, Breckland Council's Leader

Further information can be found on Breckland Council’s dedicated webpage.

We Made That have led the engagement process for Dereham, Swaffham and Watton so far and have just begun the process in Attleborough and Thetford. The engagement process for each town consists of a series of public and stakeholder events to inform the development of the Delivery Plans.

If you are local to Attleborough or Thetford or know the towns well, please do join us for the next workshop events:
