A team led by We Made That were commissioned by the Greater London Authority and the London Borough of Hillingdon to prepare strategies for Uxbridge Town Centre and the Uxbridge Road corridor.
In recent years, Uxbridge has performed relatively strongly, both in terms of growth and as a town centre. The arrival of Crossrail and High Speed 2 elsewhere in the borough requires strategic thinking to ensure that potential benefits to Uxbridge can be captured. This includes identifying opportunities for distinctive public realm interventions and sites for residential intensification and growth, with scope for both local-authority delivered and private development explored.
Together, the strategy documents provide a detailed appraisal of current performance in the study area, identify growth opportunities and illustrate specific projects required to realise these opportunities.
