We Made That were commissioned by the Greater London Authority to work in parallel with AECOM to prepare the 2015 London Industrial Land Supply & Economy Study. The report documented supply of and economic activity on London’s industrial land, tracked change since 2001 and explored scenarios for the future based on current supply trends. The analysis highlighted the rapid rate at which industrial land was being changed to non-industrial uses across the capital - at three times greater than the benchmarked rate.
We Made That were responsible for additional analysis and visual communication of this dense and extensive data set to reveal future trends in industrial workspace in London and the wider South East.
The report was influential for the new draft London Plan 2017, which sets out a requirement for no net loss of industrial floorspace capacity in London.
